Watchtowers stand about 90 to 180 metres apart along the wall.

Perkembangan dunia pendidikan dan era teknologi informasi saat ini, semakin meningkatkan peran bahasa Inggris dalam pembelajaran, mengingat banyak sekali sumber belajar dalam bahasa Inggris dibanding sumber-sumber lainnya. Makin datarnya dunia dengan teknologi informasi dan komunikasi menyebabkan pergaulan tidak lagi dapat dibatasi oleh batasan-batasan negara, dan hal ini semakin meningkatkan kebutuhan terhadap penguasaan bahasa Inggris sebagai bahasa pergaulan dunia.

Mata pelajaran Bahasa inggris menjadi sebuah pelajaran yang sangat penting bagi siswa sebab dengan semakin berkembangnya dunia teknologi dan perkembangan zaman maka Bahasa inggris menjadi salah satu Bahasa yang sering digunakan dalam kehidupan sehari-hari. Meskipun kita berada di negara Indonesia namun dengan mengetahui Bahasa inggris maka akan meningkatkan pengatahuan kita tentang Bahasa internasional.

Dalam belajar materi BAHASA INGGRIS di sekolah maka siswa akan di latih kemampuan pemahaman materinya dengan di berikan evaluasi dalam bentuk ulangan semester atau penilaian akhir semester.

Penilaian akhir semester (PAS) merupakan bagian dari evaluasi yang bertujuan untuk mengukur dan menilai kompetensi siswa, sehingga siswa dapat mengetahui tingkat kemampuan yang dimiliki selama mengikuti pembelajaran di satu semester. Penilaian akhir semester adalah suatu bentuk evaluasi yang dilakukan oleh siswa untuk mengetahui pencapaian kompetensi diakhir semester.

Tujuan diadakannya ulangan akhir semester(UAS) ialah sebagai bentuk evaluasi atau tes yang mengukur pencapaian hasil kompetensi belajar siswa yang diajarkan oleh guru atau pendidik selama satu semester. Selain itu, ulangan akhir semester juga bisa untuk memantau kemajuan belajar siswa selama proses belajar berlangsung, untuk memberikan umpan balik (feed back) guna penyempurnaan program pembelajaran.

Mendekati waktu pelaksanaan ulangan semester maka guru dan siswa akan mempersiapkan segala sesuatunya untuk bisa menjalankan dan mengikuti kegiatan ulangan semester dengan baik. Para guru akan mulai sibuk untuk membuat dan mempersiapkan soal ulangan semester sedangkan siswa akan sibuk untuk belajar dan berlatih mengerjakan soal-soal dalam mempersiapkan diri menghadapi penilaian akhir semester.

Pada kurikulum 2013 ada beberapa jenis penilaian yang digunakan sebagai dasar bagi guru dalam memberikan sebuah nilai kepada setiap siswa. Ada yang Namanya nilai pengetahuan, nilai sikap dan nilai keterampilan. Pada pelaksanaan ulangan semester maka nilai yang akan di berikan nantinya masuk sebagai nilai pengetahuan siswa olehnya itu siswa harus belajar dengan giat untuk bisa mendapatkan nilai yang terbaik.

Berbicara mengenai penilaian akhir semester (PAS) khususnya untuk semester 1 dan sesuai dengan judul pada artikel ini maka pada kesempatan kali ini kherysuryawan.id akan membagikan file soal PAS/UAS untuk mata pelajaran Bahasa Inggris Kelas 10 semester 1.
