Things are not always as they appear. Secretly located inside a popular downtown eatery, The Noble Experiment is a bar hidden inside a restaurant: What may look like a stack of kegs by the restroom is actually a secret door, leading into a bar so elite and exclusive that it requires reservations several days in advance.
The dim room sports a series of white booths next to a wall decorated with brass skulls, Rembrandt-style paintings and a crystal chandelier. Though seemingly gaudy, the gothic-style room is tastefully balanced and allows for intimate conversations.
First off, let's talk about the restaurant that this secret bar is inside of, Neighborhood, because it truly should not be overlooked. The décor is pretty darn interesting, the food is delicious and the bathrooms are amazing!
Here's an example of the food they have here. You MUST try the garlic fries, period. We also had a cheese & fruit platter and a portabella mushroom sandwich. This is hands down one of my favorite restaurants. THEN you go into Noble Experiment for an after-supper drink!
If you are into speakeasies we've visited a few others at this point such as Realm of 52 Remedies and the Grass Skirt . Each one is so unique from the others and they are all such a fun experience!
And here's a shot of the women's bathroom:
Okay, now that you've eaten, let's look for this secret bar! After you check out the beautiful bathroom, look to your right at the wall of kegs. This is the entrance to the bar. All you do is push on the right hand side to enter:

Are Fridays walk-ins only? We weren't able to find any Friday reservations all month.
Weekend reservations are typically made in advance, especially in summer but I've always been able to walk in. The wait time is usually 1 hour.
Hello, how can I make reservation for 4/27?
Looks like they're fully booked on 4/27. Check open table for reservation openings, or show up on 4/27 and hope there's eventually an opening
