Greg Stanton ( Democratic Party ) is a member of the U.S. House , representing Arizona's 4th Congressional District . He assumed office on January 3, 2023. His current term ends on January 3, 2025.

Stanton ( Democratic Party ) ran for re-election to the U.S. House to represent Arizona's 4th Congressional District . He won in the general election on November 5, 2024 .

Stanton was appointed to the Committees on Transportation and Infrastructure and the Judiciary in his first term in office. [1]

Before entering Congress, Stanton served as mayor of Phoenix from 2012 to 2018. During his tenure as mayor, Stanton pushed to extend transportation funding and expand light rail in the city. [2] He also served on the Phoenix City Council from 2000 to 2009.

Stanton was a deputy attorney general of Arizona before holding public office.

Stanton served as U.S. Representative for Arizona's 9th Congressional District from 2019-2023.

Greg Stanton was born in Long Island, New York. Stanton graduated from Cortez High School. He earned a B.A. in political science and history from Marquette University in 1992 and a J.D. from the University of Michigan in 1995. Stanton's career experience includes working as a deputy attorney general and an education attorney. [3] [4]
