গবেষণা ও অনুদান

বিজ্ঞানী / গবেষকদের মধ্যে বিশেষ গবেষণা অনুদান প্রদান কর্মসূ চি: 

বিজ্ঞান ও প্রযুক্তি মন্ত্রণালয় কর্তৃক বিজ্ঞান ও প্রযুক্তি বিষয়ে গবেষণা ও উন্নয়ন কাজে উৎসাহ ও অনুপ্রেরণা প্রদানের লক্ষ্যে গবেষণা প্রকল্পে অনুদান প্রদান করা হয়। ১৯৯৭-১৯৯৮ অর্থবছর থেকে বিজ্ঞান বিষয়ক গবেষণার জন্য বিশেষ  গবেষণা অনুদান কার্যক্রম শুরু করা হয়। এ কার্যক্রম সুষ্ঠু ও স্বচ্ছভাবে মূল্যায়ন করার জন্য নীতিমালা অনুযায়ী বিভিন্ন বিশ্ববিদ্যালয়ের উপাচার্য, অধ্যাপক, গবেষণা প্রতিষ্ঠানের বিশিষ্ট বিজ্ঞানী ও গবেষকদের সমন্বয়ে গঠিত পিয়ার রিভিউ কমিটির মাধ্যমে গবেষক ও বিজ্ঞানীদের গবেষণা প্রস্তাবসমূহ যাচাই-বাছাইপূর্বক বিশেষ গবেষণা অনুদান প্রদান করা হয়। পিয়ার রিভিউ কমিটির সুপারিশ অনুযায়ী প্রতিবছর বায়োলজিক্যাল সায়েন্স, মেডিক্যাল সায়েন্স, এনভায়রনমেন্টাল সায়েন্স, ইঞ্জিনিয়ারিং এন্ড অ্যাপ্লাইড সায়েন্স, ফিজিক্যাল সায়েন্স ও ইন্টার-ডিসিপ্লিনিারি গ্রুপসহ ৬টি গ্রুপে গবেষণা অনুদান প্রদান করা হয়। মন্ত্রণালয় এবং গবেষকদের মধ্যে বিজ্ঞান ও প্রযুক্তি ক্ষেত্রে পারস্পরিক সাহায্য ও সহযোগিতার মাধ্যমে বিজ্ঞান নির্ভর সমাজ গঠনে এ কর্মসূচি গুরুত্বপূর্ণ ভুমিকা পালন করছে।

১৯৯৭-১৯৯৮ থেকে ২০০০-২০০১ অর্থবছরে এবং ২০০৮-২০০৯ থেকে ২০২৩-২০২৪ অর্থবছর পর্যন্ত প্রদত্ত বিশেষ গবেষণা অনুদানের জন্য বরাদ্দকৃত অর্থ ও প্রকল্পের সংখ্যা নিম্নে উল্লেখ করা হলো:

প্রযুক্তি উ দ্ভা বন এবং গবেষণা ও উন্নয়ন মূলক (R&D) প্রক ল্পে অনুদান:

বিশ্ববিদ্যালয়/গবেষণা প্রতিষ্ঠান অথবা ব্যক্তিগত পর্যায়ে গবেষণারত দেশীয় বিজ্ঞানীগণকে এই অনুদান প্রদান করা হয়। মোট ৪টি গ্রুপে এই অনুদান প্রদান করা হয়: (১) জীববিদ্যা, চিকিৎসাবিদ্যা ও পুষ্টিবিদ্যা (২) অ্যাপ্লাইড সায়েন্স এন্ড ইঞ্জিনিয়ারিং (৩) ফিজিক্যাল সায়েন্স এবং (৪)এগ্রিকালচার এন্ড এনভায়রনমেন্ট। এ খাতে ১৯৯৫-১৯৯৬ অর্থবছর থেকে ২০০০-২০০১ অর্থবছর পর্যন্ত ৩৩২ টি প্রকল্পে মোট ১,৬৮,৩৮,০০০/-(এক কোটি আটষট্টি লক্ষ আটত্রিশ হাজার) টাকা এবং ২০০৮-২০০৯ থেকে ২০১৯-২০২০ অর্থবছর পর্যন্ত ১,৪৬৯ টি প্রকল্পে মোট ১০ কোটি ৮ লক্ষ ৬৫ হাজার টাকা অনুদান প্রদান করা হয়েছে।

বিগত ১৯৯৫-৯৬ হতে ২০০০-২০০১ অর্থবছর পর্যন্ত এবং ২০০৮-২০০৯ থেকে ২০২৩-২০২৪ অর্থবছর পর্যন্ত এখাতে অনুদান প্রদান সম্পর্কিত প্রতিবেদন-

বিজ্ঞানসেবী সংস্থা /বিজ্ঞানভিত্তিক পেশাজীবী / প্রতিষ্ঠানসমূহে অনুদান:

বিজ্ঞান ও প্রযুক্তি মন্ত্রণালয় কর্তৃক বিজ্ঞান ও প্রযুক্তি সংশ্লিষ্ট উন্নয়নমূলক কাজ, জার্নাল প্রকাশনা এবং সেমিনার, সিম্পোজিয়াম, কর্মশালা ও প্রদর্শনী আয়োজনে সহায়তার লক্ষ্যে বিজ্ঞানসেবী সংস্থা ও প্রতিষ্ঠানসমূহের আবেদনপত্র নির্ধারিত কমিটি কর্তৃক যাচাই-বাছাইপূর্বক অনুদান প্রদান করা হয়। এ খাতে ১৯৯৫-১৯৯৬ হতে ২০০০-২০০১ অর্থবছর পর্যন্ত ৭১টি সংগঠন/প্রতিষ্ঠানকে ৭২ লক্ষ টাকা এবং ২০০৮-২০০৯ হতে ২০২০-২০২১ অর্থবছর পর্যন্ত মোট ৯৭৭টি সংগঠন/প্রতিষ্ঠানকে ৭ কোটি ২২ লক্ষ ৫০ হাজার টাকা অনুদান প্রদান করা হয়েছে। 

১৯৯৫-১৯৯৬ অর্থবছরে হতে ২০০০-২০০১ অর্থবছর পর্যন্ত এবং ২০০৮-২০০৯ হতে ২০২৩-২০২৪ অর্থবছর পর্যন্ত এ-খাতে অনুদান প্রদান সম্পর্কিত তথ্য নিম্নে উল্লেখ করা হলো: 

বেসরকারি মাধ্যমিক ও উচ্চ মাধ্যমিক শিক্ষা প্রতিষ্ঠানসমূহে অনুদান:

বেসরকারি  মাধ্যমিক ও উচ্চমাধ্যমিক শিক্ষা প্রতিষ্ঠানের শিক্ষা কার্যক্রমে গতিশীলতা আনয়ন এবং বিজ্ঞানাগারে ব্যবহার্য কেমিক্যালস/যন্ত্রপাতি ক্রয়ের সহায়তার লক্ষ্যে বিজ্ঞান  ও প্রযুক্তি  মন্ত্রণালয় কর্তৃক শিক্ষা প্রতিষ্ঠানের আবেদনপত্র যাচাই-বাছাইপূর্বক এ অনুদান প্রদান করা হয়।

২০০৯-২০১০ থেকে ২০২৩-২০২৪ অর্থবছর পর্যন্ত এ খাতে অনুদান প্রদান সম্পর্কিত পরিসংখ্যান নিম্নরূপ:

দেশে স্থানীয়ভাবে উদ্ভাবিত লাগসই প্রযুত্তিুর প্রয়োগ ও সম্প্রসারণ শীর্ষক সেমিনার/কর্মশালা ও প্রদর্শনী:

দেশীয় প্রযুক্তি উদ্ভাবনের তথ্য জনগণকে অবগত ও উদ্বুদ্ধ করার লক্ষ্যে জেলা/উপজেলা পর্যায়ে স্থানীয়ভাবে উদ্ভাবিত লাগসই প্রযুক্তির প্রয়োগ ও সম্প্রসারণ শীর্ষক সেমিনার/প্রদর্শনী আয়োজন করা হয়। বাছাইকৃত উপজেলাসমূহে এ সেমিনার/প্রদর্শনী অনুষ্ঠিত হচ্ছে। প্রযুক্তির প্রদর্শনীর বিষয়গুলো হচ্ছে-(১) উন্নত চুলা (২) বায়োগ্যাস প্লান্ট (৩) স্বল্প ব্যয়ে দীর্ঘস্থায়ী গৃহ নির্মাণ সামগ্রী (৪) সৌর ড্রায়ার প্রযুক্তি (৫) দু’কুয়া বিশিষ্ট স্বাস্থ্যসম্মত উন্নত শৌচাগার (৬) স্বাস্থ্য সেবায় স্পিরুলিনা (৭) পানি বিশুদ্ধকরণ ফিল্টার (৮) Malted Weaning Food (৯) নিম ও অন্যান্য ঔষধি উদ্ভিদের গুণাগুণ। সকল বিষয়ের উপর উপজেলা পর্যায়ে বিভিন্ন প্রদর্শনীর আয়োজন করা হয়। এ ছাড়াও  জনস্বাস্থ্য প্রকৌশল অধিদপ্তর,স্থানীয় সরকার প্রৌকশল অধিদপ্তর ও হাউজিং এন্ড বিল্ডিং রিসার্চ ইনস্টিটিউট তাদের স্ব-স্ব উদ্ভাবিত বিভিন্ন প্রদর্শনী-সামগ্রী উপজেলা পর্যায়ে প্রদর্শনের ব্যবস্থা করে।

Bangladesh: 2022 Edward M. Kennedy Small Grant

The Edward M. Kennedy Center is now accepting applications for the Edward M. Kennedy (EMK) Small Grant 2022. This grant is awarded to individuals or organizations that address socio-economic issues to their core and offer innovative solutions. The theme for the applications is “Revival of Communities after the Pandemic”.

EMK Small Grant is one of the unique innovative grants available in Bangladesh that is awarded to exceptional social changemakers. Awarded by the EMK Center, this funding is provided to ideas or projects that solve complex social problems in distinctive, effective and sustainable ways.

The aim of this grant is to discover and nurture the entrepreneurial minds of the country to promote social innovation and sustainable development.

Applications in the form of projects should fit into five areas:

• Arts and Culture: Awards in this category will be provided to the promotion of cultural activities during the pandemic.
• Education: Innovative solutions in the education and teaching and learning sector of the country will be awarded in this category.
• Entrepreneurship Development: Scientific and technological product or service development that brought remarkable advancement during the pandemic will be awarded in this section. Discoveries, researches or activities promoting STEM in the country will be given preference.
• Promoting STEM: Entrepreneurial activities by individuals and organizations that are not enterprises itself which introduced significant change in the ecosystem are being sought in this criterion. It will also encompass projects that shows in-depth understanding of a certain fundamental societal problem, and provide world-class solutions through social innovation .
• Youth Employability: The current generation of young people – numbering 1.8 billion – is one-quarter of the world’s population and a dominant force now and in the decades to come.

Eligibility Criteria

Both individual, group applications and applications from non-profit organizations will be accepted. Applicaion from profitable organizations will not be accepted.

• Individuals and Groups: Individuals and groups demonstrating requisite experience and capacity to manage projects are welcome to submit their ideas and applications
• Non-profit organizations, projects, entities, public service centers, cultural organizations, community-based organizations, organizations registered as The Trust Act 1882/ Society Registration Act 1860
• Foundations registered under Section 28 of the Companies Act, 1994 and is established for financing Non-Governmental Organization (NGOs)

• NID Copy, TIN Certificate, Curriculum Vitae, Certification from previous donor organization (if any).
• For organization: Organization Registration Certificate, Updated Trade License FY:20-21, BIN Certificate, TIN Certificate, Organization Portifolio, Certification from previous donor organization (if any)

Grant opportunity for young researchers.

Share-Net Bangladesh has opened this year’s application for the Young Researchers Fellowship Grant 2022!

As part of the knowledge generation and capacity development initiative, each year SNBD provides two special grants for the Young Researchers in the form of fellowship.

This year, SNBD is focusing on the topic  ‘ Access to Information on SRHR’ . Keeping this in mind, SNBD is calling for research proposals from Bangladeshi students for the Young Researcher Fellowship Grant. Share-Net Bangladesh will award a grant of  BDT 200,000  each to the two selected young researchers.

The objective of conducting this research is to find evidence of young people’s access to information on SRHR in Bangladesh and set out recommendations for the improvement of policy and practice, as well as to promote young researchers’ involvement into hard-core research and contribution to the work of knowledge through evidence.

Eligibility Criteria:

• Must be a Bangladeshi national
• Age must be 30 years or less by 31st December 2022
• Must be currently pursuing Masters or PhD in areas such as Social Science/Public  Health/Development Studies/Gender Studies/Anthropology or any relevant discipline from any university in Bangladesh
• All applicants (and team members) must be a member of Share-Net Bangladesh.  Click  here  to become a member.  
• The last date to submit the proposal is on the 15th April 2022.
• Share-Net Bangladesh will announce and contact the winner on 25th April 2022 .
• The contract will be signed by 30th April, 2022.
• The final research report must be delivered by 15th August, 2022 .

Ans: Only one application can be submitted by a student/applicant.

Ans: This section will include how you want to disseminate your research work i.e. through journal publication, publishing working paper, conference/seminar presentation etc.

3. Do we have to select our own supervisor?

Ans: No. The research will be guided and supervised by the secretariat of Share-Net Bangladesh.

4. Is there any fixed sample size for this project?

Ans: There is no fixed sample size for this project. Sample size will depend on your proposed methodology.

5. What should I include in the dissemination plan?

Ans: This section will explain the sample population, sample size and explanation of choosing the sample size.
